Finkenbergerhof
Family-run since 1962
Tyrolean Hospitality
Rooted in Finkenberg
Finkenbergerhof
At Hotel Finkenbergerhof, the story began in 1962 with a small café and continues today as an establishment run by the same family with the same philosophy:
personal, warm, and genuine.

At Finkenbergerhof, one thing is central: personal contact with guests. Eva and Stefan run the Finkenbergerhof the way they would like to be guests themselves. With time for a chat at the bar and Stefan coming out of the kitchen after dinner.
From a Small Café to a Family Tradition
It all began in 1962 when Josef Eberl and his wife Erna opened Café Michl, the first café in town. What started as a meeting place for coffee and cake was always more than that: a small guesthouse where the first guests found a loving home away from home.
Over the years, the vision grew. In 1978, it was renovated and expanded, followed by the addition of a restaurant in 1985, and a wellness area in 2001. Café Michl had gradually transformed into a hotel.
In 2006, Eva and Stefan Eberl took over the establishment. They carefully renovated, modernized, and further developed the Finkenbergerhof, always with the goal of preserving its original charm and warmth. To this day, they run the hotel as the second generation.

Hospitality as a Philosophy
At Finkenbergerhof, one thing takes centre stage: personal contact with guests. Not as a service promise, but as a lived conviction. Eva and Stefan have known many of their guests for years, some for decades. You recognise each other instantly, a smile is enough, and it feels familiar.
Here, you're not just a guest; you're treated with genuine attention. An honest word, a brief exchange, the knowledge of what's good for you, often even before you say it yourself. It's precisely these moments that make all the difference.

Your hosts Eva and Stefan Eberl
Passionate hosts
Stefan and Eva don't run this establishment because it's their job. They do it because genuine hospitality is close to their hearts. Because they listen, help, and ensure everyone feels welcome. Their regular guests notice this and keep coming back.

Where you immediately feel at home
A chat at breakfast, a tip for the afternoon, an evening that was simply good. At Finkenbergerhof, it's the small moments that stay with you. And those are exactly what guests seek when they return.

Guests who become friends
Some guests have been coming for decades. Holidaymakers have become familiar faces, people whose names we know, whose children we've watched grow up. That's what makes the Finkenbergerhof so special to us.
Guest testimonial
"You don't feel like you're on holiday here, but at home."
Rooted in Finkenberg and the Zillertal
The Finkenbergerhof is not just a hotel that happens to be in the mountains. Eva and Stefan live where others vacation. The mountains around Finkenberg are their everyday life, their source of strength, and the reason they can offer so much to their guests.
They know the most beautiful hiking trails and the quieter spots off the beaten path: the Schlegeis Reservoir with the suspension bridge near the Olpererhütte, the quiet bench with a view of the valley, the alpine path that only locals know. They are happy to share these places.

Hiking & Nature Experience
As a partner of the Zillertal Alps Nature Park, our guests have access to over 200 free guided hikes. Plus mountain bike tours, via ferratas, and excursions to the Schlegeis Reservoir right on the doorstep.

Ski & Mountain Experience
202 kilometres of slopes, the Finkenberger Almbahnen cable cars just a few minutes' walk away, and the Hintertux Glacier a 15-minute drive: a winter holiday at Finkenbergerhof means maximum ski time with minimum effort.
Cuisine with genuine origin
The kitchen is at the heart of the Finkenbergerhof. The owner himself cooks daily, with dedication and the deep conviction that good taste requires time and the best ingredients.
What ends up on your plate has a clear origin: meat from Gasser butcher shop in Mayrhofen, milk and dairy products from the Zillertal Dairy Experience, fresh vegetables and fruit from local farmers in the area. Honest dishes, down-to-earth and full of flavour.
Many guests keep coming back for precisely these reasons: for the peace, the power of the mountains, the regional cuisine, and the feeling of not just being on holiday here, but of finding a temporary home.
